We are preparing implementation of an online event of our new client from the electronic sector – Samsung. The online event will be emitted from 1.02.2010. until 4.03.2010. It is a detective game in a form of contest. Players will be rewarded for qualities like: flair, engagement, capacity to associate the facts, knowledge of the Internet and a good orientation in the pop culture. The event is targeted at young people in their teens and twenties.

For the purposes of this action, Samsung hid 10 000 PLN in six anonymous rooms in Poland as the main prize of the contest. Participants are to locate those 6 locations and guess the password. There are also additional prizes – netbooks Samsung N210 and mobile phones Samsung Corby.

The website www.SamsungGame.pl is used as a platform for the contest. Via the website, contestants can watch transmissions from cameras placed in locations where the money is hidden.

The participants’ task is to guess the street name, building and apartment numbers and the password. In order to find the place where the money and other prizes are hidden, contestants can use an extensive system of clues and suggestions.

Some can choose to follow the clues one after another, another can choose to use suggestions and get the first letter of the street name or even the whole street name.

Tracking the place of the hidden money and prizes will not be easy, though. Every contestant will have to be very clever and consequent to find the location of hidden prizes. Contestants don’t actually have to show up at the correct address. The only thing they have to do is to type in the correct address and the password associated with the chosen city. On the website –www.SamsungGame.pl, contestants can watch transmissions from: Warsaw, Poznań, Wroclaw, Trójmiasto (Tri-City), Krakow and Katowice. Thus, everyone, no matter where they live, has equal chance to win the contest.

To take part in the contest, participants have to go to the hosting, create an account and accept the terms and conditions of the contest. Registration is possible until the last day of the contest. Therefore, even people joining in during the last days have the chance to win the prizes.

All the prizes in the contests are worth 100 000 PLN: 6 main prizes – 10 000 PLN as well as additional awards: 12 netbooks Samsung N210 and 18 mobile phones – Samsung Corby. The additional prizes will go to people who will be the first to guess the elements of the address.

The action will be accompanied by an advertising company on TV (Viva Polska), radio (Radio ZET, Planeta FM), in newspapers (Metro, Hiro Free), on the Internet (Wp.pl, Merlin.pl, Euro.com.pl, Komputerswiat.pl, Hiro.pl, Grono.net, Fotka.pl, Facebook.com and other social networking sites), contextual advertisement, advertisement on blogs (AdTaily, Blogvertising, YellowGreen) and advertising action at RTV EURO AGD.

The idea for the action was developed by the interactive agency Biuro Podróży Reklamy and they are responsible for implementation of the action. Robert Sosnowski, the managing director, said – accomplishing this project was only possible with a client who has a high level of awareness of internet marketing.

Sosnowski complements partners of the action: RTV EURO AGD, Planeta.fm, Viva Polska, Hiro Free, WP.pl, Komputerswiat.pl, Merlin.pl, dziennik Metro and Społeczności.pl. At Samsung, Małgorzata Krajewska-Szaruch and Berenika Dumas are supervising the project.
