The iconic brand WD-40 is proposing the “”Renovation Action”” campaign, which includes a contest.

Biuro Podróży Reklamy agency has prepared the campaign for Amtra, a leading Polish distributor and producer of professional automotive chemicals. It promotes WD-40’s contest with the guiding slogan of sustainable development: “”Repair! Don’t discard.”” The agency’s scope of work includes Social Media and collaboration with influencers, as well as activities in the SEM field. “”Renovation Action”” is part of the communication platform “”Zrób To! Wyzwanie od WD-40″” (Do It! WD-40 Challenge), which Biuro Podróży Reklamy developed for Amtra last year.

Amtra is the exclusive distributor of WD-40, the iconic multi-purpose product with lubricating, cleaning, and protective properties, as well as other global brands, in Poland. Additionally, Amtra is the manufacturer of renowned brands such as Moje Auto, Clinex, Tecmaxx, and MA Professional. The main focus of the planned campaign will be a contest that promotes sustainable development and encourages giving products a second life, in line with the slogan “”Repair! Don’t discard.”” Participants will be tasked with creating a video or a series of photos showcasing the use of WD-40 and the achieved results. They will then register on the website and submit their materials. The contest offers prizes with a total value of 20,000 PLN, with the winner receiving 10,000 PLN. The contest and the accompanying campaign have just begun and will run until June 26, 2023.

Biuro Podróży Reklamy will be responsible for various tasks, including preparing advertisements for platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. They will also handle the moderation of the brand’s channels on Facebook and Instagram, create ads for Google SEM (including YouTube) and Social Ads, design internet banner ads, and prepare video animations for publication on social media. The agency will also send emails to participants of previous editions of the WD-40 contest, handle the verification and moderation of contest entries, and select the winners.

The agency’s tasks also involve collaborating with influencers. Several creators from different categories such as DIY, interior design, lifestyle, sports, and automotive, active on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, will be selected for this cooperation.

WD-40, distributed by Amtra, is a versatile product used for lubricating and loosening connections, removing dirt and rust, loosening screws and bolts, and preventing corrosion. It can be used in homes, gardens, garages, as well as for the maintenance and repairs of bicycles and motorcycles.

Biuro Podróży Reklamy resumed its cooperation with Amtra and the WD-40 brand in 2022. Previously, the agency had collaborated with this marketer, including preparing a digital-ambient campaign for another brand in Amtra’s portfolio, Slime, under the slogan “”Gumy nie łapię”” (No More Flat Tires). They also managed its social media channels after winning a tender in 2015.
