Almatur travel agency started a cooperation with Marcin Gortat’s Foundation ‘MG13. Aim high ‘As part of the cooperation Almatur decided to offer 100 places at its camps for children whose fathers perform the military service on Polish missions. The children will go to sports camps endorsed by Marcin Gortat.
On its profile, Almatur has also organised a competition with Marcin Gortat titled ‘Where is the ball?’ In the competition, the participants have to guess correctly in what place the ball might be at the moment – the ball which Marcin Gortat ‘lost’ at one of Almatur’s camps. The ball covers the photo showing a particular place. Every every two days more fragments of the photo are uncovered, in this way revealing the whole scenery at the end of each week.
The competition consists of four rounds and every week there is a winner. The fastest users have a chance to win balls and T-shirts with Marcin Gortat’s autographs. Between the tasks Marcin comments on the participants’ doings in the form of short, funny speech bubbles. There are also suggestions as to the places where the ball might be.
The interactive agency Biuro Podróży Reklamy is responsible for the concept, realisation and conducting the competition. The competition lasts from 14th May to 11th June. The person responsible for its implementation is Marcin Kulczycki (the Project Manager).
Almatur was set up in 1956 as a travel agency specialising in tourist services for academic circles. Marcin Gortat started his foundation in October 2009. His goal was and still is to help other young people to fulfil their sports dreams. Marcin Gortat’s Foundation will try to find these young and promising players, support them through a system of scholarships and, thanks to collaboration with top coaches in Europe and the US, to offer professional training and development. Marcin Gortat’s MG13 Foundation also aims to promote health and healthy life style. This is achieved through actions promoting physical culture and sport among children and teenagers, as well as helping such institutions as schools, children’s homes, care centres and other foundations.
