During the last quarter of 2008, we have organized for Invest-Bank an online happening action targeted at students. Our task was to collect leads from that target group. For the purposes of the action, we have developed a website, where we have uploaded 10 pictures in the comic stories style. The pictures presented typical scenes from the student life: exams, studying, party time and so on. Users were to fill in the dialog boxes with funny dialogs. In order to submit the comic stories, participants had to enter their personal details.
All of the stories were put into a ranking . Users could have voted for their favorite jokes. We have provided attractive awards: 10 000 PLN for the winner and Creative mp3 players – Mozaic 2GB for 9 authors of the best comic stories. The action has been accomplished with cooperation of several partners: Creative (as the main sponsor of the prizes) and 4 student networking services (as media partners). The action has also been advertised offline through created by us posters and leaflets (exposition in the Invest-Bank branches). Besides the concept and creation of the action, organization of partners and sponsors, we were also responsible for an online advertising of the action. The event has been advertised through dynamic exposition of advertising buttons in 24 student, social and entertainment services , ePR publications on websites of student organizations, universities and student networking sites and through SEM .
For the purposed of the action, we have developed about 50 creations basing on the most popular comic stories created by the contest participants. As a result, the website was viewed by over 420 000 unique users . More than 6 500 leads have been collected. What is more, the action has caused 2.5 fold increase of the clients who own Invest Student Account.
